If you ever stop and wonder sometimes, ‘whatever happened to Tyra Banks?’ then you obviously didn’t catch yesterday’s trending Twitter topics.
Like a blast from yesterday, the “Former Top Model” show creator and host dusted off her runway and took a stroll down memory lane. Banks came out of retirement for the not so minor job of landing on the cover of 2019’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. Not impressed? Hold my beer.
More than 20 years after making history as the first Black woman to grace the cover of SI back in 1997, Banks brought her smizing eyes and total fierceness back sporting an oh! so itty bitty yellow string bikini.
Banks says, “My first one was 23 years ago, how crazy is that? Very crazy when you try to wrap your head around the fact that Tyra is 45 YEARS OLD!
An excited Banks posted the spread on Twitter…
This is for everybody that has been told that they are not good enough because of their body, their age, their everything. #BanX is here to tell you that you ARE friggin’ fierce no matter what anybody says!— Tyra Banks (@tyrabanks) May 8, 2019

And fans were definitely here for it…
My God you’re so gorgeous 😭🔥🔥♥— Coyottitto (@Coyottitto1) May 8, 2019
46 GOALS!!! Tyra is aging like fine wine and she looks realistic not a completely fake manufactured body. ❤️❤️❤️— Ms.Twiggy (@JAYLYN72) May 8, 2019
This is actually the third time Tyra has slayed on an SI Swimsuit cover. And given the buzz she’s creating with this fierceness, we can probably Bank on her coming out of retirement to do another one in the future.
