America’s Next Top Model Gets a Total Make Over, Minus Tyra?

Not even six months after the CW cancelled America’s Next Top Model, we learn that VH1 will be reviving the show, sans Tyra as host. She will still be onboard as the show’s executive producer.
In a statement, Tyra said:
“After creating an incredible, global brand, I am beyond excited to have the show reborn. I will continue as executive producer, but must turn my attention to new business endeavors, so I want to find a new host. I’m pumped to identify that person and bring back the show. Top Model fans, you demanded that the show come back, and VH1 answered the call. Get ready for a fierce-a-fied rebirth!”
While there are talks of Eva Marcille, the third cycle winner from the show, to being a host, there is also talk of Karrueche Tran becoming a judge.
A source says that the show’s creators are changing the overall style and the tone. Whatever they do, it should be interesting… Or not?
The show had 22 cycles and for the reboot, it will go back to where it all began 13 years ago. The competition will take place in New York City and although Tyra Banks and the other judges that we came to love will no longer be on the show, we still can’t help but wonder if it will still have the same appeal.
You know that when you mess with a good thing, it is never the quite the same. Case in point, American Idol. They couldn’t quite capture the same magic as the original line up. Can ANTM keep the same kind of magic that we’ve all come to know and expect?
I’m just hoping that whoever they get to host, they’ll be able to have the same kind of passion as Ms. Tyra.
