Laughing all the Way to the Bank Chris Rock hasn’t really been hurting for money, but he definitely won’t be hurting after his mega dollar deal with Netflix. The comedian/actor has inked a deal with the streaming service that will bring the 51 year old back to center stage for two new comedy specials. Rock confirms the new deal saying “I can’t wait to get back on stage” and that he is “excited to be working with…all the good people at Netflix.” Executives at Netflix call Rock “comic royalty” and say their “global platform” offers the comedian the kind of “creative freedom that will serve as a perfect home for someone with his incredible talent.” Rock will be doing what he does best, two stand-up comedian specials like the last five he’s done over at HBO. The four time Emmy Award winner is scheduled to begin a world comedy tour once details are finalized and begin taping his first Netflix special in 2017.
