Drake & JLo a Couple?, Tupac a Rock Legend & “To Sir, With Love”: Celebrity Wrap Up

“Fake Love” or “Could This Be Love” These days, it doesn’t take much to get the twitterverse buzzing, but Twitter is on the verge of a virtual meltdown with the rumor of this latest Hollywood hook up.  With sites like Huffington Post, TMZ, BET and USMagazine reporting that Drake and JLo have been spending lots of time together and dare we say even dating, fans are on high alert. Drake recently was spotted at another JLo concert, the second in one week, and the couple has also been seen sharing dinner where they were described as “cozy”. As if that wasn’t enough to start the romance speculation flying, JLo added this little teaser to her IG recently:

Drake and Lopez are supposedly working on a musical collaboration which could explain their constant togetherness, but fans seem to rather run with the romance concept.  As expected, reps for both stars are keeping silent about what’s really going on.

Rapper is Rock & Roll Legend   The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be inducting six artists in its class of 2017 including the late rapper Tupac Shakur.   Some fans have been critical of the inclusion of performers like Shakur who they say as a rap artist is outside the rock & roll genre.  Other hip-hop inductees like N.W.A, Grandmaster Flash and Public Enemy also received some push back when they were inducted. Hall of Fame officials say “Rock” is a broad genre and they “consider hip-hop an important part of the whole genre.”  Producer, songwriter and guitarist Nile Rodgers will also be the recipient of the Award for Musical Excellence. Rodgers will best be remembered by fans as one of the pioneers behind the disco group Chic which crafted such hits in the late ’70s as “Good Times” and”Le Freak”.  Chic has been nominated eleven times for the Hall of Fame, but keeps falling short on votes to be inducted. Janet Jackson and Chaka Khan were also nominated but didn’t garner enough votes to be inducted this year. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be televised this year on HBO.
