Somebody Save Meek Mill Petition
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf may have never listened to hip hop or ever heard of Meek Mill before, but hundreds of thousands of fans are fighting for the rapper’s freedom. The “Somebody Save Meek Mill” petition reached 200k signatures by Thursday November 9 with a goal of 300k total. The Change.org petition reads, “More than just a celebrity or rapper, Meek Mill has been a powerful voice in the community for young people all across the country – and the world. Meek has made positive contributions to many communities and programs, dedicating his time and money to the cultivation of our youth and our neighborhoods; even while overcoming his own adversities… This petition is designed to show the amount of people who believe that Meek’s punishment was harsh and unjust.” Mill was given a 2-4 year sentence for violating probation which many hip hop artists and fans feel was too harsh and unjust. The petition asks the governor to pardon Meek and set him free.
Terry Crews Fighting Back Against Hollywood Sexual Assault Actor Terry Crews was one of the first men to speak up when the Hollywood sex scandal broke saying he’s been groped by male execs in front of his wife. This week, Crews did more than just talk about it. TMZ cameras caught up with the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star as he was leaving the Los Angeles Police Department. Crews says, “People have to be held accountable. We’re gonna go all in.” Crews tweeted last month that he and his wife were at a Hollywood gathering last year when “a high level Hollywood executive came over 2 me and groped my privates.” In addition to the police report, Crews says he also intends to file a lawsuit against the people who assaulted him.
For this week’s look at celebrity life in Hollywood, that’s a wrap!
