FIVE REASON COACHELLA IS THE PLACE TO BE

Coachella is officially in effect and Super stars are out.
Beyonce, Jay Z, Solange, Nas, and Outkast were in attendance in the first weekend of the three-week Coachella music festival which kicked off in Indio, California. Here are the highlights from some of the biggest performances. We can’t wait to see what this weekend will bring!
1. The Knowles Family.
Indie music queen Solange performed at the event this week and she brought on none other than her big sister/dancing partner Beyoncé on stage.

The sisters performed a synchronized dance to Solange’s hit Losing You and the crowd went wild. Perhaps the most entertaining of the Knowles girls was Tina-their ageless and flawless mom who danced in the crowd wearing a simple crown tiara.

Fresh off the most interesting interview Oprah has given in years, Pharrell performed a set in his now signature Vivienne Westwood Hat and brought out Gwen Stafani for a performance of her oldie-but-goodie hit Hollaback Girl. Check out part of that performance here.
3. Nas
Hip hop fans rejoiced this weekend with a performance set by Nas featuring Diddy and Jay-Z. Does anyone smell a joint album or tour from them? They are almost always performing together these days.

4. Outkast
They might not have had their best performance (okay Andre 3000 was kinda horrible) but there is no doubting the importance of their first performance together in YEARS.
Check out Andre’s performance of Hey Ya below:

5. Drake performs with Jhene Aiko

After over ten years in the music industry, Jhene Aiko is seemingly becoming one of R&B’s new ‘It Girls’. This of course was with a little assistance from one of the biggest names in music-Drake. He stopped by to perform their collaboration From Time off his recent album Nothing Was the Same and the crowd went wild.
