When your parents are musical geniuses like Swizz Beats and Alicia Keys your child is naturally going to have talent. Swiss Beatz and Alicia Keys five-year-old son Egypt helped produce a new Kendrick Lamar song. He woke up one morning and headed to the piano and came up with the beat. Of course with the help of his hit-making father, the song came fully together. “This is the best Dad moment everrrrr!!!” said Beatz. “Congrats to my son Egypt for producing his 1st track on this amazing Kendrick Album. he’s only 5yrs old wowwwwwww @aliciakeys look at our lil guy baby. #blessingsonblessings thx #Kendrick for investing in the future !!!”!

It’s great to see black men, who are celebrities come together and promote fatherhood.  This is such a positive image for other young black fathers to see.  Just by taking a picture and sharing their project Jay- Z, Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Swizz Beatz are helping to encourage fatherhood in the black community.  Can celebrities influence more young black men to become better fathers?

Too many black children grew up in single parent homes without a positive father figure. Now as adults, more black men are striving to be the opposite of what they had. To make sure they play an active role in raising their child and are not a dead-beat dad. It is important for celebrities to use their influence in a positive way. Whether you like it or not your kids are watching and look up to these people.

As a parent make be mindful of the types of influences and ideas you expose your child to. Egypt showed us a child is never too young to learn. This shows how the things parents expose their children to can shape them at a young age. Studies have shown that a child develops the most between the ages  0-8.  It’s funny because most people think their child isn’t paying attention or doesn’t have the mental capacity to understand important things at such a young age.  Egypt producing a song at the age of five proves us wrong.

Beatz tells Kendrick thanks for investing in the future, because our children are the future. We have to give them wisdom and guidance, encourage their talents, believe in them and give them anything they need to succeed. The old saying still reigns true, “ it takes a village to raise a child”. Thank you Jay- Z, Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Swizz Beatz for showing us that is it cool to be a good father.
