One Door Closes, Tyler Perry Opens Another Tyler Perry’s new 330-acre studio lot in Southwest Atlanta has finished with all the grand opening hoopla and is ready to get down to business. The first order of business it seems–get Steve Harvey back to work!  The comedian/actor/game & talk show host posted pics of his meeting with Tyler on his Instagram page and that started people to buzzing about what the two could be up to.  Tyler blew collective minds with the recent unveiling of his 12-soundstage studio earning him the historic honor of being the first Black to own a movie studio.  According to Rollingout.com, one of those soundstages is where Harvey filmed an undisclosed project.  Rollingout says, “he filmed at one of the studios and fans are clamoring to find out what magic they created.”  Harvey’s Hollywood hot streak cooled down a bit after his talk show was canceled and he lost another hosting gig.  But the comeback trail seems to be heating up for Harvey who also announced he’s ready to take “Family Feud” international as he’ll host versions of the popular game show in South Africa and Ghana.

Dwayne Wade’s Still Got Game  Just because he’s retired from the NBA doesn’t mean Wade’s giving the game.  The former NBA superstar has reportedly inked a multiyear deal with WarnerMedia.  His new position on the team has him playing over time both as a creative director for the Bleacher reporter and doing a little color commentary for Turner Sports’ “Players Only” alongside Shaquille O’Neal.   Wade says as he gets ready for this new career, “…After 16 seasons in the NBA, I look forward to connecting with my fans in this new role and bringing my own perspective to the game I love.”  Wade says his production team 59th & Prairie Entertainment is also working on developing some additional projects that he will be announcing at a later date.

Method Man’s Method To Becoming A Mutant       The Grammy Award-winning rapper is ready to become the next big mutant to join the X-men. The former Wu-Tang Klan rapper admits he’s a comic book lover and we believe him since we have no idea who Bishop is in the comics. Method Man is so seriously campaigning for the gig as the mutant ‘Bishop’.  He’s gone so far as to show Marvel Studios what he would look like in the role with this mockup…

Not bad, not bad…but is it good enough to land him the role.  Method Man has proven he’s got the acting chops with roles in HBO’s hit “The Wire” and an upcoming appearance in “Concrete Cowboys” opposite Idris Elba.  Here’s hoping Method Man’s mutant’s dreams come true.

For this week’s look at what some of your fav celebs and stars have been up to in Black Hollywood, that’s a wrap!
