If this were a heavy weight bout, rapper 50 Cent should just throw in the towel. Every fall when the TV season is set to premier, Fifty goes after what he considers his competition “Empire” on FOX claiming the show is a rip off of “Power” which he executive produces on STARZ. This time Fifty decided to target his trolling at former girlfriend Vivica A. Fox who has joined the “Empire” cast. Here’s what he posted on IG:
Like we said, every year about the same time Fifty gets restless or nervous and goes after “Empire” and every year “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson steps up and smacks him down. No difference this year. Henson came out swinging and quickly reminded Fifty that she embodies the role of her “Empire” character– trash talking Cookie. Here’s Henson’s reply as captured by website The Shade Room and check out Fox’s response at the bottom:
Calling Fifty out as a bully was on point. Whatever happened between the rapper and Fox is in the past—way in the past…didn’t they break up around 2004?– and they should have moved on. There was some bad blood between them for a minute, but both adults should let it go. Fifty isn’t a bully for the Fox comments, it’s the photo he paired next to her of a woman who supposedly was living with the aftermath of a botched facial surgery procedure. If that’s true, that woman is dealing with her life circumstances and probably doesn’t care about “Power” or “Empire”, so to laugh at her misfortune just to take a swipe at Fox is truly by definition a bully.
Henson’s right, it is “So sad” and Fifty is a living example of that “#crabinabarrel syndrome” of not being able to celebrate the victory of others unless you are winning. Hopefully, Fifty will sit back and think about his life because Henson’s final point may be the deepest cut of all…”Maybe your karma is blocking your blessings. #Emmys.”
