Legend says Trump played Kanye Kanye’s strange meeting with president-elect Donald Trump is still drawing some heated reactions. Perhaps among the harshest criticisms from friend and fellow entertainer John Legend. In a recent interview with Clique.tv, the singer songwriter called Kanye’s meeting with Trump a “publicity stunt” and said that he was very disappointed in the rapper. Legend said, “ I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to him [Trump] about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt and I think Kanye was a publicity stunt.” Legend goes on to say, “I’m pretty disappointed with Kanye, that he says he would have voted for Trump…I think Trump has been corrosive ― his message has been corrosive to the country ― and the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people. And for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing.” Legend isn’t the only one with harsh words for Kanye following his Trump meeting. Fans on twitter are calling the rapper out for being nothing more than a Trump tool:
Mary J. Refuses to Let Hubby Cheat Her out of $420K Since July, R&B singer Mary J. Blige has had little to sing about as her divorce from husband and former manager Martin “Kendu” Isaacs just keeps getting nastier. Earlier Isaacs demanded $130K a month from Mary J. for his living expenses claiming she had been his only income in their 9 years of marriage. Apparently, Isaacs forgot his earlier demand and Blige is using his mistake to her advantage. Blige is accusing her husband of trying to defraud and cheat her out of $420k that he claimed in business expenses. According to WENN.COM, Blige “filed new documents claiming Isaacs…’fleeced her out of'” of the money by claiming for expenses that had nothing to do with her career. And Blige was just getting started…she also says her husband is refusing to return three luxury cars that are leased under her name including a Range Rover that should have been returned in February and a Mercedes SL550.
LeBron’s Safety Pin Protest Against Trump NBA Legend LeBron James let a giant safety pin do his talking in a recent photo shoot for the cover of Sports Illustrated Magazine as the sportsperson of year. The cover shows a suave LeBron smiling in white jacket and turtle neck. Along with his blinding bling is the hard to ignore huge safety pin on his lapel. LeBron is one of a number of Hollywood celebs, including former “Will & Grace” star Debra Messing and “Star Trek’s” Patrick Stewart, who have started wearing a single safety pin on their clothes to signify the support of safety and protection to minorities, women, immigrants and others who may be threatened by a Trump presidency. The safety pin movement might seem silly but it’s to keep others aware of what could be in store for many Americans incoming years. Recently in his sportsperson of the year acceptance speech, James lauded former greats like Muhammad Ali, Bill Russells and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who “…sacrificed everything that could’ve happened to them. [They] could have been stripped of everything that they had accomplished to that point'”…to stand against discrimination.
