Tiffany Haddish Handles Being Called a Coon “Like A Boss” Comedian/actress Tiffany Haddish has a few sharp words for haters who criticized her following Sunday’s 77th Golden Globe Awards show. When a fellow actress used part of her acceptance speech to address women’s rights, Haddish reportedly began clapping too enthusiastically and yelling support too loudly for some. Posts on social media criticized Haddish as being crude, loud and living up to the stereotype of Black uncouth. One tweet even said, “She[Haddish] never misses a chance to coon it up.” That last criticism went a step too far apparently. The “Like A Boss” star addressed her haters in an IG video saying, “Here Haters smell the roses and stop being a b**ch. I am already on the next level #sheready #instylemagazine. ” Just remember when you take on a professional comedian, they always get the last laugh.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Royal Exit Not since Brexit has an exit made Brits this mad. Former “Suits” star and current Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced plans to “step back” from the royal family and seek their own independence. The couple apparently wants to break the tradition of what the world has come to know as “royals” and live like normal people–no pomp and circumstance. British broadcasters are calling it ‘Megxit’ and say the break with the royal family has been brewing for months. The first sign the move was real, London’s famed Maddam Trusaud Museum removed wax figures of Harry and Meghan from the Royal Family display. As if the announcement didn’t put enough distance in their familial ties, Harry and Meghan have taken baby Archie and now live in Canada.
Loni Love “Don’t F**K This Up” Wednesday’s episode of the “The Real” got around to Kevin Hart’s 2017 cheating scandal as discussed in his Netflix docuseries “Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up.” Hart and wife Eniko talk about the affair and how they worked through the marital issue. Host Love offered this take on Black men cheating saying because of slavery Black men don’t know how to be monogamous. Love said, “I don’t speak for the Black community but I do think that a lot of black men, they really don’t know how to have true faithful relationships.” The internet heard you Loni, and they are not cosigning your twisted view. One comment said, “I’m VERY disappointed in her [Love] and I am utterly shocked that she would narrow this down to just black men and then try to throw slavery on to justify what she said!”. Others said for Black women to stop blaming men and take ownership of their own bad decisions in choosing mates. Loni’s been a little silent since the statement, so maybe she took a hint from Hart’s Netlflix title and decided not to f–, um, mess this up.
