Say what you will about millennials, but no one can ever accuse them of not having a sense of humor. Generations X,Y & Z have gotten the most use out of viral videos by introducing us to some of the funniest compilations with their #Challenges.
Honestly, we thought they couldn’t top their #UNameIt Challenge and their #Mannequin Challenge, but these ‘never say never’ millennials couldn’t let the clock run out on 2016 without giving us a challenge laughing at the biggest joke of the year.
While many are fretting what a Trump presidency will mean to Blacks, Latinos, immigrants, women’s rights, the LGBT community, the working class, middle class…and well, everybody— it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion that no one who isn’t named “Trump” or “Drumpf” is really looking forward to the next four years. Except maybe comedians because there’s just an infinite stream of potential jokes there that will virtually write themselves. Young people have figured out that we can close out 2016 with a good cry or a hearty laugh and fortunately for us, they chose the latter.
Even though many of the young people behind the viral video posts were too young to vote, that doesn’t mean they aren’t politically aware of what a Trump presidency could mean. A lot of college students are getting involved in the challenge especially on HBCU campuses like Benedict College in Columbia, SC which posted its official challenge video:

Whoever came up with #TrumpsComingChallenge, a big thank you for finding a way to collect the sum of all ours fears and helping the nation keep things in perspective by laughing…while we still can because Trump really is coming! God help us all.
