It’s Ladies Night in Ocean’s 8   Rihanna joins an all-star female cast in a movie  fellow co-star Sandra adamantly insists is not a reboot, but something new. The story centers around Debbie Ocean (Bullock) who definitely shares the DNA of onscreen brother Danny(Ocean’s 11) in good looks, style and  the knack for making things that belong to other people suddenly belong to them.  It’s time for another heist of the century.  What better target than the lavish, star-studded, annual NYC  glitzy affair-The Met Gala.  Rihanna dons some dreads for her role as Nine Ball who joins Ocean’s (Bullock)  team of talented  bandits that includes Kate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling and Anne Hathaway.  It’s a big risk bringing an all woman cast for a do over of hit franchise –remember “Ghost Busters” tried it…and well. ‘Ocean’s 8’ is dropping an official trailer later this week, but until then–here’s your First ‘Reel’ Look—or rather glimpse at the official teaser. “Ocean’s 8” scheduled to open in theaters nationwide in June 2018.

“Black Lightning” Is About to Strike  The CW’s next superhero is ready to light up some villains–literally!  Cress Williams stars as Jefferson Pierce–a man who’s been grappling with a secret.  To most who know him, he’s Principal Pierce– an ordinary guy with a loving wife and two daughters. But to the criminals who are ravaging the streets of his hometown, he is the superhuman hero able to harness electricity and uses that power to become their worst nightmare “Black Lightning”.  One of his foes will be Lady Eve played by songstress Jill Scott. Williams’ character is based on DC Comics and will be at home on the CW which has built a steady comic book center universe for heroes like “The Flash”, “Arrow” and “Supergirl”.  “Black Lightning” joins the lineup January 16.  Until then here’s your First ‘Reel’ Look at the latest trailer for “Black Lightning”.

Set Your Clocks and Get Ready for Ava Duvernay’s “Wrinkle in Time”  The acclaimed “Selma” director has successful taken on history and  her next big step will transport audiences into the vast unknown possibilities of the universe.  “Wrinkle in Time” centers around a young girl whose father (Chris Pine) has vanished. Meg discovers that her father is being held captive on another planet and she launches an interstellar rescue attempt.  To save her father, Meg will come face to face with danger she’s never known, but she won’t face the evil her alone.  Her journey will cross paths with three helpful allies in Mrs. Which(Oprah Winfrey), Mrs. Whasit(Reese Witherspoon) and Mrs. Who(Mindy Kaling).  “Wrinkle in Time” hits theaters March 9.  Until then here’s your First ‘Reel’ Look at “Wrinkle in Time”

Dwayne Johnson Goes on a “Rampage” to Save The World   Johnson is back in the jungle for his next big screen adventure and unlike “Jumanji”–the fun and games are over.  Johnson stars as Davis Okoye, a primatologist who raised and worked closely with George– an albino silverback gorilla.  George is one of three creatures subjected to genetic experiments that turn them into gigantic monsters that go on a rampage against mankind.  Davis fights to save humankind and before the Godzilla-like creatures destroys everyone and everything.  Naomi Harris and Jeffrey Dean Morgan join the cast. “Rampage” tears into theaters April 20.
