Today’s Hot Topic: Wendy Files for Divorce
After 20 years of marriage, talk show host Wendy Williams filed for divorce Thursday from her 46-year-old husband Kevin Hunter. The 54-Year-old star of the Wendy Williams show released the following statement through a spokesperson “ Thank you to everyone for respecting the family’s privacy during this time. Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together…”
This is more bad news for the daytime host who’s endured a much-publicized health battle with an autoimmune disease as well as a slew of marital problems. Williams and Hunter have one child…a 19-year-old son.
“Empire” star Terence Howard shouldn’t bank on seeing a tax refund this April 15th. Black America Web says the star owes over “…$143,000 due to unpaid taxes from 2010, plus interest and penalties for not paying on time.” Things can go from bad to worse for Howard. The article says, “ If he doesn’t handle the matter, his property and assets could be seized by the government.” Howard has been down this troubled road with the IRS IRS before. In 2010 he reportedly owed over $1 million dollars and in 2006 he owed more than half a million in taxes. Howard reportedly made $125k per episode in 2017 for his role as Lucious Lyon on the hit FOX show “Empire”.
R Kelly More Money…More Problems
The singer made headlines this week for a 28-second serenade at an Illinois club that reportedly earned him a hefty $22,000. Reportedly about 50 people showed up for the appearance with some paying $100 to attend. But the star might not be able to hang on to that money for long. Atlanta Black Star says “…Sony Music Holdings Inc. has frozen the singer’s song royalty account” after Kelly’s music studio landlord sued the label for the $173,855.08 Kelly owed in back rent. Kelly was dropped by Sony Music earlier this year after he was indicted on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
