If there is such a thing as peering into the future, then internationally known teacher, lecturer and diversity trainer Jane Elliott has 20/20 vision. Something she predicted nearly three years ago is unfolding before our very eyes.
The former third-grade school teacher turned anti-racism activist has travelled the globe showing people their true colors in the form of prejudices and racist behavior and attitudes.
Two years ago, Elliott said in an interview on PBS, White superiority is a lie…it’s a myth. She says, “the myth of race has to be maintained at all cost in this country because if White people have to give up the color of their skin as something that makes them perfect what do they have left?”
So how does all this get us to abortion bans surging around the country? Elliott says the people who have the money are making the decisions about what neighborhoods we live in, what we learn in schools , where to work, which companies to support and which laws to enact.
Everything according to Elliott is designed to keep White people in power. Anti-abortion laws are part of that grand design because according to Elliott there aren’t enough White babies being born to help Caucasians maintain their majority putting them on the precipice of losing their “this is a White man’s land” dogma. Elliott says “60% of the fetuses being aborted every year are White“. Keep that 60% alive instead of aborted and it will solve the White population’s birth dearth.
It’s a Thanos level villany complete with fear, power and control but at the root of it all is racism.
White men who have anointed themselves as “saviour” will devour anyone who upsets their design…that includes White women who aren’t churning out enough babies. They will turn on their own race to keep things the way they want them. It’s disgusting, depressing and downright sad.
All this chaos in the form of the resurgence of racism is also part of the plan to keep those who deemed themselves in charge–well, in charge. It’s the reason Trump won, stole, tripped into the presidency because White people were upset that Blacks were gaining in stature, in power, in equality. So the one candidate who espoused their fears won with a vow to turn back the clock and make things like they were.
Problem is…they can’t. And won’t according to Elliott. She sees the election and elevation of Trump as a final escalation in fighting an idea that can’t be stopped.
Elliott peers into the future again by quoting an author of the past– “Victor Hugo said no force on earth can stop an idea whose time has come. The idea of one race, the human race is an idea whose time has come. We are not going to be able to stop it no matter what they do. They can elect Trump after Trump after Trump and that will not stop the idea that there’s only one race on the face of earth….we are all in the same family. The family of man.”
Her words don’t sound all that different from another visionary activist. Martin Luther King’s assassination is what started Elliott on her path of showing elementary students what it feels like to be discriminated against. She challenged the system which she says wasn’t about education, but indoctrination to accept a lie-a myth by teaching that Whites have made all the significant discoveries, laws, inventions, decisions–everything we consider good.
Her “Blue eyes-Brown eyes” experiment opened the eyes of many to the psychological, personal and systemic racism that Blacks and people of color face everyday all because one race decided to perpetrate a lie that they are smarter, better, different, superior.
She’s been hit by angry White men, had a knife pulled on her, chased out of towns and even had her life threatened, none of which has stopped her from spreading her message that there is only one race-the human race. She says even if they got to her tomorrow and she dies…the idea that we are all the same will not ever die.
Here’s the link to Black Nouveau’s interview with Elliot. Her attack on Planned Parenthood is in Part 3 below, but take about 30 minutes to watch Parts 1 and Part 2 if you can. It will enlighten, renew and encourage.
